WeAreOne Fuse/Trigger Rims:

Just a bit wider, but not too wide. With the ability to provide more air volume and control where required. Not plus. The ideal profile for 2.5 -2.8 tires. Also, E-bike rated!.


IMPACT STRENGTH 

Taking our time and diving deep into testing, we came up with the perfect balance; a combination of weight, strength and ride feel. Basing all of our data on previous Union 29 and Union 27.5 rims, we built a new test protocol and focused on single-wall impact failures. We introduced a new ZRT material from Boston Materials and placed it in critical areas. We also completely redesigned the layup of each rim from the ground up, changing all possible orientations, angles, and processes.

The result is a 29 rim with 32% improved impact strength over our Union 29 rim.

INTERFACE

Traditionally our rims have been drilled at a 7.5-degree angle. The interface where the nipple sits in the rim has never been ideal. The Convergence’s external shape drives the internal profile. With 7.5-degree alternating faces, when drilled, it gives the nipple the perfect perpendicular angle with no point loading. This feature provides improved fatigue on the nipples and spokes, unrivaled durability and prolonged service intervals. 

DAMPING RIDE FEEL

Using the Revolution line of rims as a benchmark, we aimed to improve an already fantastic ride experience. By reducing the depth of the rims to 19mm and working on both laminate orientations and materials, we isolated the cause of both the radial and lateral levers of the rim design. The Convergence gives the rider a data-backed increase in lateral stiffness and a wheelset that damps the rough chatter of the trail. The Convergence line of rims offers the best ride experience to date.

Onyx Classic Hubs:
Onyx takes a fresh approach to the mountain bike rear hub, in an effort to eliminate drag and increase engagement. Instead of a traditional pawl engagement system, Onyx opts for a high-tech sprag clutch that is virtually drag-free when not engaged. When you put the power down, engagement is nearly instantaneous. And an added bonus: the hub is dead silent. All you'll hear on the trail is the sound of your tires gripping the trail, nothing else. *IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY NOTE: This hub is NOT compatible with e*thirteen cassettes.*
